Military

Legionnaires

The Imperial employment of Legionnaires as the bulk of their infantry is well-known, and few Imperial outposts are bereft of their presence.

Imperial Lances

The Imperial Lances are the foremost cavalry unit of the Empire. The riders are entirely female (given the cultural norm in the Empire that men must ride side-saddle) and are known for their deadly charges.

Laws

The Imperial legal code is large and complex, and it takes an expert to navigate it in full, and find all its loopholes and exceptions.

• It is well-known that a sumptuary law exists, banning the wearing of dragonhide, whether as clothing, armour, or any other sort of decor. There do exist a variety of exceptions to this -- many Legionnaires wear medals crafted from single large dragonscales as awards for achievement and valor in battle against the enemies of the Empire, for example. Only those who can obtain an exemption from the highest political levels can manage to wear dragonhide without repercussions.
